Jean-Raphaël Notton has been elected Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of France.
On Saturday 21 June 2025, at their annual General Assembly, the delegates of the Grand Lodge of France elected their Grand Master. Now 69 years of age, Jean-Raphaël Notton was initiated into the Grand Lodge of France in 1986, in the Lodge “Jean Jaurès” in Paris.
The Grand Lodge of France, the oldest and foremost of the traditional Obediences, possesses a spiritual dimension that gives it a unique place in the French Masonic landscape. The defence of freedom of conscience, which has marked its history throughout, allows it to be a place of exchange.
On this solemn occasion the Grand Lodge of France conferred the Patent of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite upon the Grand Regular Lodge of Croatia. The Patent was presented in person to our Grand Master, Brother Damir Jandrašek.

Acknowledging the regularity demonstrated by the Grand Regular Lodge of Croatia
in its practice of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite,
in accordance with the text and the Declaration of Principles and Constitution of that Obedience,
the Grand Lodge of France, holder of the Patent for the lawful and regular practice
of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite,
upon the proposal of the Federal Council of the Grand Lodge of France,
at its sitting of 22 May 6025,
the Grand Lodge of France hereby resolves to issue a Patent of Constitution
of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite to the Grand Regular Lodge of Croatia.
Accordingly, the two Obediences reaffirm the fraternal bonds that unite them
and shall continue the traditional exchanges between Masonic Powers
and the correspondence between the Obediences and their Grand Representatives.
